Have you ever stopped to think about some of the things you say? We rattle off some phrase and we probably don’t even know what it really means. Most of the time it’s something we have heard our parents or someone else say, a million times without questioning what it means. Well it just may surprise you to find out the origin of some of the most used phrases in the american lexicon. They may go back years, decades or even centuries to the original meaning and have no relevance to today’s society whatsoever and yet we continue to use them everyday. Want idioms?
